Crockett’s Business Service, Inc. was founded in 1981, with an office on Patapsco Ave. Founder Norris (Dave) Crockett did taxes and his wife Helen answered telephones. Over the years their business grew and the services they provided expanded.

In 1989 Derrick Myers became a partner and the name was changed to Crockett, Myers & Associates. In the years since Crockett Myers has continued to grow and expand. Their staff has grown to eight and the services they provide now include accounting services (including software support), management advisory services, tax planning and preparation, financial planning and IRS Representation. They provide accounting services across the USA and have clients in ten different states, each served by a staff member expert on the tax laws of that state.

Crockett Myers president Derrick Myers was made a partner in the company when he graduated from the University of Maryland in 1989. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, numerous certificates in accounting and finance and Certified Public Accountant designation. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), an Investment Advisor Representative, and earned the Advanced Master Florist Manager (AMFM) designation from FTD

Derrick is also considered the foremost expert on accounting for retail florists.
