FleurEx 2015 takes place in Warwickshire on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th October. Hosted by the British Florist Association and following the success of the 2014 show they have returned to the 4 star Chesford Grange Hotel & Conference Centre. In addition they have retained the extended opening time (introduced at the 2014 event) which gives attendees Saturday afternoon (as well as a full Sunday) to explore the show. As usual some of the biggest names in the florist industry will be exhibiting, demonstrating and competing. Attendees will leave FleurEx relaxed, inspired and full of great new ideas that they can use back at their shops the very next day.
Live floral design demonstrations will feature two top names – Dennis Kneepkens from the Netherlands and Simon J. Lycett from the UK. Both of these designers will undoubtedly create stunning, and inspiring, floral designs. Both of these demonstrations are included with all entry tickets.
On both Saturday and Sunday Neil Whittaker (aka 'The King of Packaging') will host his popular packaging workshop. Sponsored by Widdups Packaging, access to these workshops can purchased separately, in addition to an entry ticket. Neil is considered the foremost expert on packaging and his invaluable experience is shared in this workshop. You will first create your own floral designs, then learn how to wrap them in a way that adds value to your designs and prestige to your brand. Please note: All flowers and packaging materials used in the workshop will be provided.
Floristry Master Classes from the British Florist Association return again this year. Two outstanding educators – Lana Bates and David Ragg – will share their wealth of knowledge and ideas. These master classes include all materials, and can be purchased separately in addition to general registration.
And, of course, FleurEx 2015 will include the very popular floral design competitions BFA members love so much. This year there are six classes, all with great prizes, for attendees to choose from.
Saturday night includes a Gala Evening Dinner & Industry Awards presentation. It starts with a reception, hosted by the BFA chairman, at 7:00 PM, followed at 7:30 by a three course meal with wine. After dinner see the presentations of various awards – participants will find out who has won the various Industry Awards as voted for by BFA membership. Dancing rounds out the evening. Ladies are encouraged to dress up in their finest gala gown (black tie for the men).
